Since moving to Japan, I've only been able to work on my laptop so it takes much longer to see what I'm doing with lighting/ texturing in Blender. I spent some time in the morning adjusting lighting and whatnot before I set it to render while I'm at work. When I get home I nitpick the image and move on to my next step from there. Because of this, I have a ton of renders stored up showing the progress.

After sometime working other small projects and art mediums, I've returned back to this. No new renders yet but more so just thinking about lighting changes. First thing I noticed was how DARK this image is. It partly might be the screen I'm viewing this on, but regardless this is way too dark. Now that I haven't been staring at this for hours a day, fresh eyes are picking this apart. When I was doing the lighting I think I was trying to do too much of the work in scene. None of these renders have been edited yet. I need to go back and brighten the whole scene then worry about the contrast/coloring in post.
On a side note, I have a little dango clip to post. It was one of my quick projects to help reset my brain. I might start a small series of different foods/ objects. However, I am hesitant since it takes a few days to render a few seconds. My laptop is not built for that but tries its best.
